We follow a nationally recognized Learn to Skate program. This program allows our passionate instructors to guide the skater through the basic elements of skating to the more advanced skills. Figure Skating teaches skaters how to be self motivated and how to set long and short term goals.  Skaters gain self confidence, time management skills, and learn how to work through setbacks and appreciate the victories. Allowing them to develop a lifetime love of the sport.  By following the Learn to Skate program we provide the necessary skills a skater will need to continue their skating careers. Whether a skater chooses the competitive track, or skates for health and fitness we provide them the skills and direction needed.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

To provide a fun and safe skating environment from beginners to the more advanced skaters

To give proper instruction and technique of skating skills and elements throughout all levels offeredTo provide a fun way to promote health and fitness

To give all skaters the opportunity to achieve the skills necessary to move forward in their skating careers

PROGRAM INFO

We follow the Learn to Skate USA curriculum. This program allows all skaters from the age of 3 on to have a place to start.  We offer all class levels from Snowplow Sam, through the Free Skate levels, as well as, Adults classes and developmental hockey classes. As a skater progresses through the weekly classes there will be an evaluation to determine if the skater has mastered the skills in level to move on for the next session, and eventually towards their future skating goals.

Each class includes a free 15 minute practice session before or after the class. Students MUST wear their pins in order to skate during these practice ice times.

Pins will be replaced for a fee of $3.00

Evaluations take place during the 2nd to last week of each session. Evaluations will determine if the skater is ready for the next level of skills.
