ABOUT US
The Sabre Hockey Association is one of the largest and most established youth hockey organizations in Illinois. All Seasons Ice Rinks is a feeder program for the Sabres Hockey Organization for many years. As an organization they strive for success at all levels, but their main goal is providing a positive atmosphere for player's skill development. The primary focus is building strong character on and off the ice.
HISTORY
Sabre Tradition
The Sabre Hockey Association was originally founded as the Naperville Hockey League, Inc. on June 22nd, 1971. The founding members, W.J.G. Cudmore, George J. Benuska, and James D. Wright, had one thing in mind, bringing competitive youth hockey to this growing western suburban area.
On November 24th, 1975, the club, newly renamed the Naperville Hockey Association, expanded its goal, now "...organized and operated exclusively for the teaching of ice hockey skill and rules to youth and the application thereof through participation in competitive play." The core values, then as now, always focused on the development of our children through the sport of hockey.
Responding to a growing membership that now spanned multiple western suburban communities, on October 18th, 1993, the club again changed its name to the current Sabre Hockey Association. Since then, the association's participation has more than doubled.
This growth fueled an already successful and competitive organization. An organization built through strong leadership, great hockey minds, the support of wonderful parents, but most of all, children who have a true love for the game.
